Question 1

Is my file uploaded anywhere?

Accepted Answer

No. The file is read and checked in your browser and isn't sent to our servers. The only exception is AI suggestions: if you sign in and confirm, the few fields listed on screen are sent to create suggestions, and Skuvera doesn't store them.

Question 2

Do I need an account?

Accepted Answer

No. The validator, converter and splitter all work without signing in. An account is only needed for Pro features: larger files, cloud mapping templates and more AI suggestions.

Question 3

What is sent when I use AI suggestions?

Accepted Answer

Nothing without your confirmation. Every request shows exactly which fields will be sent — typically a few product titles and values — and only runs after you agree. Skuvera doesn't store the content; it only counts usage for rate limiting.

Question 4

Which files does the validator accept?

Accepted Answer

Product CSV files exported from Shopify, with either the current or the previous column names. The converter also reads Excel (.xlsx) and generic CSV spreadsheets exported from other platforms.

Question 5

How large can my file be?

Accepted Answer

The free plan handles up to 20 MB and 50,000 rows. Pro raises this to 100 MB and 500,000 rows.

Question 6

What does the validator check?

Accepted Answer

Encoding, headers and column structure, SKU and variant consistency, prices, inventory, barcodes, image URLs and SEO fields — each based on Shopify's official import requirements.

Question 7

Can Skuvera fix the problems?

Accepted Answer

Yes, many issues have one-click fixes, such as trimming invalid characters or filling missing required values. Anything that could change meaning — prices, quantities, option values — is only applied after you review and confirm. You then export a corrected CSV.

Question 8

Does the splitter keep products intact?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Rows belonging to the same product (same Handle) are never separated across files, and every part includes the header row.

Question 9

What do I get for free?

Accepted Answer

All three tools with full validation, conversion and splitting, processed locally in your browser. Free use is limited by file size and the number of AI suggestions.

Question 10

What does Pro add?

Accepted Answer

Larger files (up to 100 MB / 500,000 rows), more AI suggestions, and cloud mapping templates you can save and reuse. Pro costs $19 per month or $190 per year.

Question 11

How do I cancel Pro?

Accepted Answer

Any time from the customer portal. Your plan stays active until the end of the paid period; there are no partial refunds. Details are on the pricing page.
