Move products from WooCommerce to Shopify
Export your products from WooCommerce, convert the file in your browser, and import it into Shopify. Variable products, sale prices, stock, weights and images are converted for you.
Three steps from WooCommerce to Shopify
1Export your products from WooCommerce
- In your WordPress admin, go to Products > All Products.
- Select Export at the top of the page.
- Leave Export all columns selected, and keep all product types and categories selected.
- Select Generate CSV. Your browser downloads the CSV file.
2Convert the file with Skuvera
- Open the Shopify CSV converter and upload the WooCommerce CSV. It's recognized as a WooCommerce export and mapped automatically.
- Review the column mapping and the preview. You can change any column, add a price rule or remove columns you don't need.
- Select Convert file, review the check results, and download the Shopify CSV.
3Import the CSV into Shopify
- From your Shopify admin, go to Products and click Import.
- Click Add file and select the converted CSV.
- Click Upload and continue, review the details, and then click Import products.
- Shopify emails you when the import is finished.
How columns are converted
The converter follows WooCommerce's official product CSV schema. Column names below are exactly as they appear in each platform's file.
Name → Title, URL handle
The URL handle is created from the product name, for example “Classic Hoodie” becomes classic-hoodie.
Description → Description
Copied as is, including HTML.
Categories → Type
The last level of the first category, for example “Clothing > Hoodies” becomes Hoodies.
Tags → Tags
Copied as is.
Published → Status, Published on online store
1 becomes active and published; 0 (private) and -1 (draft) become draft and unpublished.
SKU → SKU
Variation SKUs become variant SKUs. The parent product's own SKU isn't used.
GTIN, UPC, EAN, or ISBN → Variant Barcodes
Copied to the variant barcode.
Sale price, Regular price → Price, Compare-at price
With a sale price, Price is the sale price and Compare-at price is the regular price. Without one, Price is the regular price.
Stock → Inventory quantity, Inventory tracker
When stock is managed, Shopify tracks inventory with the same quantity.
Backorders allowed? → Continue selling when out of stock
1 or notify allows selling when out of stock; 0 stops selling.
Tax status → Charge tax
taxable becomes TRUE; shipping and none become FALSE.
Weight (unit) → Weight value (grams)
Converted to grams using the unit in the column name, such as kg or lbs.
Attribute 1–3 name / value(s) → Option1–3 name / value
Variation attributes become Shopify options. Attributes on simple products aren't used as options.
Images → Product image URL, Image position, Variant image URL
Images are listed in order without duplicates. A variation's own image becomes its variant image.
Type, Parent → —
Used to group variations under their parent product. Not copied to Shopify.

What isn’t converted
- Grouped and external products are converted as single products. Shopify has no equivalent product types.
- Short descriptions, purchase notes, upsells, cross-sells, downloads, reviews and custom meta columns aren't converted.
- Categories become the product type. Set Shopify's standard product category and collections in Shopify after importing.
- Shopify's CSV has no sale schedule. If a sale is scheduled to start later, remove the sale price before converting or update prices after importing.
- Variations set to “Any” value for an attribute can't be imported. Shopify needs a value for every option, and the check results list these rows.
- Image URLs must be publicly reachable, because Shopify downloads each image during the import.
- Shopify applies Inventory quantity only to stores with a single location. With several locations, set stock in Shopify after importing.
